Dr. Khaleel Alyahya is anatomist and neurobiologist at King Saud University College of Medicine, one of the most prestigious and high-ranking medical schools in MENA region. He is also an active author of several books in different disciplines including medicine, academic development and career success.
Dr. Alyahya has acquired his PhD from Colorado State University in neurobiology field, featuring on glaucoma. During his doctorate level, Dr. Alyahya has completed two master’s degrees, the first was in human anatomy and the second was in adult education and training where his academic knowledge, vision and leadership style were developed and advanced over years with deep practice and active engagement.
Dr. Alyahya has attended and completed successfully more than +500 training hours in college teaching, curricular development, academic leadership and educational technology from different local and global academic institutions including Harvard, Auburn, Ottawa, Toronto, Colorado and King Saud universities.
Dr. Alyahya first interest is teaching, and he has more than 10 years experiences in teaching several graduate and undergraduate medical courses including anatomy and clinical neuroanatomy. He is contributing to student activities and his teaching style is always placing students at the center of attention with priorities.
Dr. Alyahya has established the Clinical Anatomy Lab at the College of Medicine to enhance the publication outcomes and to apply clinical applications to the curricula with critical thinking development. Also, Dr. Alyahya is putting significant efforts to establish and publish the Saudi Journal of Clinical Anatomy (SJCA) to be the first journal of clinical anatomy in Gulf region.
As part of his role and interest, Dr. Alyahya has established and released the Digital Anatomy Platform to teach anatomy and all related subjects including neuroanatomy, histology and embryology. The platform is an additional tool to enhance teaching and learning that will provide medical students, dental students, and other healthcare professionals the basic and fundamental knowledge about anatomy. The platform will include digital content, tutorial videos, images and assessment to apply diversity in educational tools for best user experiences.
Finally, Dr. Alyahya was recognized as one of the most potential and influential Saudi students in United States because of his intensive experiences in establishing and leading Saudi student organization globally that applied significant impacts and positive changes on Saudi lives.
