Neuroanatomy is the branch of medicine studying the structure, organization, and functions of the nervous system. It is the description of all parts of the nervous system including brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. It is considered one of the important disciplines of anatomy and medicine. Neuroanatomy is composed of internal structure of the central nervous system and the routes of the nerves that form the peripheral nervous system. The design of different structures and regions of the nervous system explain how it works and functions. It all came from the power of observations and investigations that link lesions to particular neuronal areas with their functions to detect the impact on human behaviour.
In the last decades, neuroscientists spent great amount of time in their academic institutions and research centers to study the nervous system, and conduct research for further investigations. They have dedicated their time to design experiments that have applied great understanding of the human nervous system with its significant functions. Those research and investigations played vital roles to engage the fundamental concepts of nervous system with the neurological disorders to reduce the negative impact on human bodies.
